Pembrokeshire Classic 2021July 30, 2021
Welcome to the Pembrokeshire Classic 82 miles (132 km) Brevet. If you’re not up for ‘long rides’, or just visiting with your bike, this is the ride for you. Average speeds range from 9.3 – 18.6 mph, meaning anyone with modest fitness can expect to finish in time. If you’re a triathlete, then starting at 8am you be able to have a nice sea swim before the start, a cup of coffee before the ride, and still have time for a run afterwards.
This self-supported bike ride runs on 4th September 2021 from Tenby, the same day and 2 hours after the Indian Summer 200. It uses a quiet and more scenic version of the ironman wales route, cafes/shops instead of feed zones. Everyone starts at 8am: proof is by collecting stamps in a brevet card you’ll be given at the start. Budding ironwomen and men won’t need to stop much though, just enough to get your card stamped at the 3 controls plus back at the cafe. No medals, just a good bike ride in a nice place. Entry includes hot drinks before and after in the Dennis Cafe.
Start/Finish: 8am The Dennis Cafe, Tenby, Pembrokeshire
Entry Fee: £9 | Non-AUK members pay additional £3 for insurance.
